I'd rather watch 'Halloween 3' than Rob Zombie's fuckin' trashy fuckdick reincarnation(remake).Zombie's version is pure shit.Carpenter's score and his 1978 masterpiece scared millions;your movies suck dick,Zombie.Zombie is a fucking Zombie.Hollywood should get rid of that douche bag fast.Hollywood has lost the spirit of films anyway.Horror these days sucks.Fucking stop remaking films.Only remake them if soooooooooo many yrs have gone by.Only remake them if you can do it as good AND better.

Yeah it would've been much better that way. It's funny but when me and a couple of my friends heard there was going to be a Halloween 4 we thought 'Great, now we get to see what happens when they turn off the TVs at the end of Halloween III. And then it didn't happen....sadly!

This flick reeks of the 80's right there.

Hell who knows maybe they could make remake(s) of this one and head back down the anthology path....but it wouldn't be as good as if they made them back then...anyway great song fits the movie perfectly and is probably the best song besides the silver shamrock commercials :)

@Alexinytown I agree...gotta wonder what else they could have come up with for future films if it continued the anthology route. Personally I thought Halloween 3 was good even if Michael Myers wasn't in it. I thought it did a good job creating that eerie atmosphere the first 2 films had, & the idea of the film was original, the kills too. One of the problems for the franchise though was the marketing...it never really was marketed as an anthology so people were confused. Myers got too popular.

@Alexinytown Even then, I think the second one was unecessary. Carpenter loves to leave his films open ended because, hell... That's Carpenter. I think immediately after Halloween they should've gone the anthology route, they'd probably still be making them today. It'd be a lot scarier than a bunch of lousy Michael meyers films.

@HaulinHearse I would've too. I loved how III was fresh and new instead of repeating the same old Michael Myers sh!t like the following sequels unfortunately did. Halloween II was a perfect way to end that particular story; plus, the story had already run it's course by it's the end of the film and pushing it anymore would just ruin everything (as Halloweens 4-8 proved). III also was the last that Carpenter was involved with, which is another reason (out of a hundred) for why it's above 4-8.
I actually enjoyed this film a lot, and now looking back on all of the Halloween series, I wonder if it would have been better to go the way of the anthology rather than 10 Michael Myers sequels. I mean, the first invited a sequel, but they could have done a number of different things with the Halloween franchise for the subsequent movies. It leaves one to wonder I guess.
