As a fellow kidnapper, a veteran I guess, I like to use plastic zip ties as restraints, then I duct tape headphones with "Ice Ice Baby" on repeat.
100% success rate, and have actually had some wanting to voluntarily top themselves, so there's a fine line there. Hope this helps.

These people are possible targets of kidnapping because they're children of the ridiculously wealthy in this country who have subverted our tax laws and raped our economy. It's obvious the coming storm will not be kind to new robber barons.

I've tried it, it works. I always keep a bobby pin clipped to the back of my pants under the belt. I'm not saying that in the heat of the moment it would be easy but it's not hard once you've got it down.
