I'm sorry I deleted the raw version because I didn't ask permission first. Here is a better one for you to see and listen to. This song is all about where Charles came from. I'm proud to have gone there 4times, too. I love to walk there instead of taking the truck - it's so peaceful and a nice way to enter the village, and it preserves the natural environment. It takes a long time to walk, but sometimes the truck takes a long time too! Since the road came in, a lot of trees have been cut down, so it's been kind of destructive. The old way is easier on the land. The road is more convenient for the villagers, but I hope they can still protect their land and traditions at thesame time. The thing I love about their village is the first time I went there, the forest is so intact comparing to the other places in the province and the people still have a strong culture. It seems like so many places I have been, the culture is gone, commercialized or changed. It's refreshing to visit a place where people still remember and celebrate the old ways of doing things.

This is a great new song, sharing a little bit of that history and culture. I hope you will like it! The lyrics are below, in case you are curious. Thanks!

In the Heart of TANUDAN-July 20
There is a river that flows in the heart of the land
Passing through all the valleys, villages and beautiful mountains
Where Mount Binaratan is one time Kabunyans hunting ground.
And the Brave Banna came to find the love of his Life in Dacalan

The Story that goes and the legend across is so humbling
Resounding to all the corners as the Men play the Gong, its uplifting
While the old, wives, sons and daughters are dancing with laughter.
Dekagan Chants her Ullalim teaching as she sings to the children

The River gave life; the terraces depict the hard work of our ancestors
Some cultures have changed but our customs should linger like the forest
Once you cut it down, it will change our sacred land in the future
The evidence of our esxistence will be a shame to all the people in the past

I miss the Tungali that plays in the peace of the night
The olden stories will give you good dreams as you slumber
The river is wild, as the rooster calls the sun to come out
Sweet Coffee Aroma, The warmness of Love, Im so really proud.
I belong to the Heart of TANUDAN.
