In a prescreening discussion, Isaac Mizrahi, fashion designer, talks with Harold Koda, Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, and Kohle Yohannan, guest co-curator, about the 1995 documentary Unzipped. Isaac tells how the film caught him at a crucial juncture in his career as he rallied his talent, his team, and his friends the supermodels. Canny, honest, and always funny, Isaac reveals the muses who live in his head, the models who inspire him, and how director Douglas Keeve came to capture the buildup to one of Isaac's most memorable fashion moments.

"The Model As Muse: Embodying Fashion" is made possible by Marc Jacobs.

Additional support is provided by Condé Nast.

  • Isaac Mizrahi, I absolutely ADORE YOU !!!!!!!! I dream of, one day, running into you in NY, perhaps in Soho, and having a cup of coffee for 30 or 40 minutes. I'm sure we would become friends on the spot. Please, keep being around the world, because I can't picture the Art World without the likes of you.
