Brainwashing Is Still Evolving

The more difficult something is to believe in, the more the mind can firmly believe it is true.

That familiar statement: "The closer one gets to god, the more the devil tries work through the people the closest of all to you, to try and lead you away from the truth"

A new breed of destructive mind control is evolving. Most dictionary and encyclopedia definitions of the word 'cult' are out of date.

1. No remote location or training camp is required now. Some destructive groups now operate within society and have evolved such that only a short physical distance from home is required to complete the indoctrination. Some can even complete the process within your own home. The UK was in disbelief when it produced its own homegrown suicide bombers. A stack of evidence indicates they were each absolutely convinced what they were doing was the will of a one and only true god.

2. 'Cults' do NOT require an individual leader or personality, that is a thing of the past. A collective or a non-geographic internal governing committee can be used in place of a single visible leader.

3. The desire to become like a central, personality leader figure or guru is not required. Instead, a desire to become a collective personality model, which is typified by a movement is often enough.

4. Not always required for the member to confess or provide secrets about himself, but this may happen anyway.

5. Diet and sleep deprivation not always required, providng other parts of the process are potent enough.

The destructive cult is a part of human progress, just like evolving viruses are part of the adaptive bodily immune system.
Terrorism will never be solved by conventional military action, no more than firing a pistol at an ants nest ever eliminate it.


In the meantime, if you are ever asked: "Do you think I am brainwashed?" DONT judge, you cannot honestly say "Yes" OR "No"

But if a loved one insists, to be fair you can only split your answer, since you are simultaneously replying to more than one personality within your loved one, not one. One of these parts will be extremely judgemental, so avoid interacting with that 'person' at all costs. If you can understand what this means, then you will know how to answer.

Oh, it's the Heaven's Gate crowd. I remember; there was a comet in the night time sky and a star was shining through the tail. They believed it was a spaceship and by committing suicide, they would go to the spaceship.

They were an incredibly clueless bunch. That woman with the short, black hair sounded especially clueless. You can't stop clueless simpletons from being simple. If it hadn't been Heaven's Gate, they would have died or wasted their lives in some other really pointless ways.

These people suffer from stupidity. These are some of the same types targetd by Socrates. I am an engineer. I put peoples statements into a kind of schematic - I can see their logical fallacies. Invalid analogy is one such fallacy - Columbus did was not searching for something transcendant - he was searching for INDIA! His motive was money. Geez people, read a little.

Perhaps the gene pool is better without these sad people.
