You can buy or find more information about the mCX Blade Tandem Rescue RTF here: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH2500

Everybody and their brother have been having fun with Blade mCX helicopters since they were first released. The first mCX with its ultra light-weight 4-channel radio and coaxial rotors was very easy to fly and very durable meaning everyone could fly it and expect it to survive a few unintentional mishaps. Then the mCX S300 introduced a new scale-like body that made it even more fun flying around the living room. Now there is another new Blade, the mCX Tandem Rescue with two sets of coaxial rotors! Your first impression is that this is going to be a) difficult to fly and b) fragile. Well, I can say unequivocally that this is not the case. Its very easy to fly and very durable. It flies like the original single rotor mCX but the dual rotor setup provides additional interesting maneuvers not possible with the single rotor mCX. This one does maneuvers that more conventional helis would be jealous of.

The Blade Tandem Rescue is 100% factory-assembled, test-flown and ready-to-fly right from the box. It includes factory-installed LED navigation lights and a 4-channel 2.4GHz DSM2 transmitter among many other features. Take a look at our video preview with Mark Padilla, the E-flite Product Developer, and see how much fun this new Blade is.

  • hey question for ya !.. can you use the original blades mcx's transmitter/control for this tandem rescue copter?

  • @jj72330 Yes you could.

  • Well update on my brand new replaced Blade Tandem Rescue. It broke again. Now the back right lower blade doesn't spin freely after the simplest and gentlest little crashes. It seems like once a day this thing breaks in a new and different day. Absolutely ridiculous for a $180.00 helicopter.

It's getting shipped straight to the company and I am demanding a refund. Yes, this helicopter looks cool with two blades and the lights, but it breaks way too damn easily. Looks can be deceiving.

  • Do me a favor and send me an e-mail detailing what's been going on and the issues you've been having (e-mail address is under the "More Info" section on the right). I'd like to see if there's something we can do to help. We honestly have not had an issue with these helis.

  • I did email your company multiple times. The helicopter is flying correctly now after I completely disassembled it and cleaned out all the gears and motors. I was not expecting it to fly straight and when I did a test flight, it worked fine and now for the past few days it's been flying perfect.

Buying a different helicopter than this would be taking a step back anyway. No other tandem models have the game-controller like receiver, small battery, and LED lights installed. I

  • Unfortunately I don't always get looped into e-mails that go to Product Support. I wanted to see if there was something I could do to help make sure that someone A) has gotten your e-mails and B) was trying to help you out.

  • I have been flying the same one of these for almost 2 years and my only complaint is the batteries but those seem to be the weakest part of the whole ultra micro lineup.

When the wind is still outside I have more fun with the tandem than my Blade 400..

  • when i was a little boy a had a toy rc tandem from picooz ;p

  • what a great job i want that job

  • Since the Labrador is no longer used by the Canadian Forces, i hope Blade makes a CH-149 Cormorant, its replacement.

  • The Eflite Tandem Rescue is now discontinued. I picked up 2 of them for under $60.00 (shipped) Good Tandem heli. Let's face it, Eflite is a "Top-Notch" company & they make outstanding products!!! Plus you can score parts @ your LHS. My only gripe is that it has an open bottom. Wished it was closed like the Syma S022.

  • I know all these ultra micro helis are stable....cuz i have em all but ironically whenever mark tries to show how stable they are the heli drifts away....haha poor guy

  • that is rly nice, i think im gonna have to get one

  • Forget about the esky belt cp..This is where it's at;)
