I've been a Monkees' fan when I was 11 years old back in 1986. I first heard this tune back in '95 when I was stationed in Italy when I bought their LISTEN TO THE BAND box set. I use to keep in touch w/ this girl I went to high school w/ via hand written letters. One day I confessed my feelings for her in a letter, but she told me she was interested in someone else. Needless to say, she never wrote back to me after that, and when I hear this song it reminds me of her.
