@ovadose101 YOU need to think critically on this. He said NOTHIGN about "the past". He very clearly prayed to God for the time IN THE FUTURE when white will embrace what is right. Whther he thinks it's still the 60s or not, the guy said some racial BS that had no business being included in a prayer for a country that is over 70% white - ancerstors of whites who dies fighting for the rights and freedoms fo blacks just as much as ones who fought against that.

Wow, I find it hard to believe what I am reading. For all of the bloggers on her that are throwing the "post-racial" card up should really take a step back and read what you are posting. Then analyze the content of the communicator. Rev. Lowery endured the civil rights movement, while crusading alongside Dr. King. His prayer, was a reflection of a person who has seen too much of the shadow of racism in our country. Think critically people, and stop being assholes about everything.

Here we are a year and a half later. Where's the post racial president.  When I heard this filthy communist pig fake Reverend say his little poem at the end, I KNEW right then and there what kind of "President" this foriegner communist Muslim was going to be. And he hasn't let me down. He's been WORSE than I even imagined he would be. Reverend Lowry's benediction was an insult and a politically motivated diatribe that masqueraded as a "prayer." Well, he's the one who's going to explain it to God, not me. I'll just have to explain to God why I considered him to be such an a**hole for bringing his Black Liberation Theology BS into such a solemn occasion. Thanks for taking the spotlight and shining it onto yourself, Rev! Thanks for going for that usual self-pity party.

It's sad and scary that the leader of the most powerful nation in history has to be inaugurated in ceremony so thick with superstition and supernatural presumption.

Our descendants will look back in jaw-dropped marvel at the persistence of utter ignorance and gullibility in our already-technological era (assuming civilization doesn't collapse first, at the hands of fanatics bent on "holy" missions of violence).
