What a brilliant game! Petrosian is my all time favorite after Tal: the contrast of their styles showed me how deep advanced chess can be. I hope one day I can get to be half this good.
-
good ol Petrosian! I really enjoyed this game considering the winner of the game played so defensively.
-
tigran was champion until 1969 correct?
-
what a great psychological game. petrosian plays as though he has all the time in the world, content to simply exhaust his opponent.
-
thanks for the analysis, all 4 parts are great. this game is a real masterpiece
-
well done ;)
-
funny how botvinnik played a d4 opening playing into petrosians style.

Thanks Sean

Funnily enough, I saw an episode of star trek where Data used exactly the same principle to beat a grandmaster at 'Strategema', a fictional tactical board game. Reminds me of a crocodile or a spider just waiting until the prey slips up for an instant before pouncing. Very effective, and obviously extremely difficult to counter. Awesome depth of analysis Sean, Cheers!

They are all there, sorry I did not link them together, I didn't think to when I was making it. You can find it easily if you go to the page with my videos on it; these four videos are all together. Hope this helps!
