A jam over a 12 Bar blues sequence in the style of Charlie Christian (well, as near as I can get it!).

Harry thanks for the plug. I didn't realise you were 63 years old!

    Cheers

    Paul

  • Thanks for the comments.

I wasn't trying to do an exact copy of the great CC, but the backing track suggested that style to me. There are a couple of his licks in there though (well hidden!).

    Regards

    Paul

  • Thanks again.

I'm in the process of recording some tuition vids to explain my thinking on these tunes. They'll be posted here

    Cheers

    Greeting from Russia!

  • WOW absolutely brilliant paul

This is harry by the way

Ive been Pauls student for about 4 or 5 years and he is absolutely amazing, the best damn guitarist i have ever heard or seen

  • Notice how jazz and rock guitarists play with their fret hand thumb hanging over the fretboard, while classic guitarists keep it down on more or less the center of the neck. Maybe it has to do with the difference in fretboard width between electric and classical guitars.

  • Yes, in 1942. Also he lived as much so as to play bop. He was one of the guests at Minton's Playhouse

  • I love it

  • You are good, my man!

  • then why donthca?

  • Correction - He died in 1942.
