First of all, I absolutely must thank Ulrich Schnauss, once again, for taking time out of his busy schedule to donate an instrumental version of 'Love Forever' for this video!!! I can't say thank you enough!

Despite some minor horizontal squashing issues with the video, I'm, overall, quite pleased with the outcome of this video.

If you like this tribute video, please give it a thumbs up. I may, in the future, make some more non-NeverEnding Story related tribute videos once I get the free time, find a movie I can get passionate about, and find the motivation to pull it off in a manner similar to what I've done here.

Enjoy the video! I really hope I've done both The NeverEnding Story (and all who made it such a fantastic book-to-film conversion) and Ulrich Schnauss some serious justice.

  • Music is superb. How it's called?

  • @sauroman1 I'm not sure if you're asking about the title of the song, but it's called "Love Forever" by Chapterhouse (remixed by Ulrich Schnauss). The version of the song I'm using for this video is the instrumental version.

  • Seriously nice work mate -does this have clips from 1 and 2 or just 1? Is 2 worth seeing? Ive only seen 1, which is quality entertainment (the likes of which we don't see much these days/ Potter has a 'few' fans ..not that I'm one really)

  • @1292liam First off, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

To answer your question, I feel the 2nd movie is NOT worth watching. I'd suggest you read the book over watching the second film. I preferred the cast from the 1st movie over the 2nd. On top of that, the director/script writers took liberties with the story that really pushed the 2nd film in a different direction from the book.

I'm still waiting for a quality remake of the series that's true to the book.

  • Wow ! What a good surprise ! Seeing your nickname, I though that this video would be like most of the fan-made videos, that is to say a lifeless combination of images form the movie with pointless music... But what you did here is really, REALLY good ! You should make more tributes like that,. You have undoubtedly great potential in the field of editing ! I'll add it to my playlist of the best fanmade videos ;D

  • @Yagprod Thank you so much for the amazingly kind words! It really means a lot to me that you gave my video a chance and, of course, enjoyed it. I can't credit Ulrich Schnauss enough, though. Without his music, this video would be nothing.

While I loved editing this video, it was really a result of my passion for the subject matter. If I were forced to edit some cheesy kids' movies for the rest of my life, I'd rather die! hahah.

I may make some more in the future, though! Thanks again. ;)

  • This is the kind of thing that makes grown up people curl up in the corner and cry after their lost childhood (even the crappy one). Really struck a chord, fantastic montage and music, Ulrich Schnauss' work transmits incredible amounts of nostalgia for some reason. Fantastic work, I'll be coming back, it really makes me feel funny in my chest :>

  • best movie as a child.. never will forget it. lol remembering how I also cried for the horse.

  • The Neverending Story is about a book that read Bastian's mind and created a custom story in its pages. At the end of the story Bastian became part of the story. From that point it became neverending. :)

  • I'm in love.....

  • I never lost my childhood.

  • Well chosen music to a well put together tribute. I'm not keen on the film, but you've done a nice job with this.

    Top tune.

  • This was amazing, had a very operatic feel for it in my opinion. Superb work!
