This is part of a Eurovision broadcast in Poland. Dezso and Tibor Vaghy, founders of the Vaghy String Quartet, graduated in 1963 with Masters in Performance under Professor Marc Hendriks (class of the renowned Carl Flesch) in Hamburg, Germany. Continuing post-graduate studies at Juilliard School with Dorothy Delay, they established their quartet, mentored by the highly esteemed Juilliard String Quartet, the Amadeus Quartet and as well as the Hungarian Quartet whom they also assisted. In their 30+ year quartet history, achievements include a Grand Prix nomination and Best Recording of the Year (CBC 1976). They were recognized teachers on faculties at several fine music institutions and universities. Their technically precise, committed, and very personal interpretation -many times called European flair- is well evident in these videos clips which are taken from live broadcasts in both Europe and North America and serve as part their fine legacy. http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=U1ARTU00... • How wonderful! I am the mom of a former student, Jennifer Morgo, and

spent many, many hours listening to the two violins and enjoying the

joyful loving spirit of Deszo! What an honor it was just to be exposed to

his knowledge and ideas. God Bless each one of you...
