Homage to "The Samurai" a VERY COOL old Japanese TV show from the 60's. The lead role is played by Ose Koichi.

  • Great presentation. Shintaro is such a great hero. The whole series is being put out by siren visual this year can't wait

  • REALLY...that is fabulous news, I can replace my bootlegs then... thanks for the info as well as the comment!

  • @ShinobiWolf2012

series one is out. It features shintaro riding a horse and weilding six shooter...so it sort of has a wil west feel :) it's before shusaku and Tombei join him..but the stories are great. And you can watch it with the japanese audio too

  • Awesome, when I get some extra funds I will definitely be needing those! again thanks much for the heads up and comments! :)

  • @KingFahtah the only place to get the official releases of all seasons is siren Video as stated by King F...all others out there are bootlegs! Thanks for watching everyone.

  • Lachlan you reereee

  • What is the name of this song???

  • i remember my childhood day

  • I so loved Shintaro when I was a kid. Thanks for posting and when is the entire series out did you say and where can we buy it?

  • Over dinner recently the question was posed;who wAs the greatest sidekick in pop culture/literature? Tonto, little John, barney rubble all got honourable mentions but for my money it was Tombei. If I live to be 100 I'll never forget the impression Shintaro and Co. made on me. Proof that you can watch violence where good triumphs and never feel the need to be violent. PC people take note. While on the subject of best ever; how about Bin Amatsu's Kongo/Fuma Kotaro as the most charismatic evil d

  • this was the one of the best series that i havent seen all of--worth posting and thanks--only show when a man good where a lamp cover for a hat and call himself a warrior..
