Good old Uniden based chassis, very good on performance! VFO is the best way to enhance this rig sold under several name brands .... I appreciate you unbiased view of electronics with CBs in mind!

Radionut, this has certainly broadened my view of just how limitless we are in the radio world. Folks like this gemtleman and you should be on the cutting edge of technology creating the next major upgrade and the big seller item in that same radio world. Thanks for sharing. God bless!!!

the real question is, does the sideband portion of the radio still work on all the channels?

@fordbroncodave everything on this radio functions as per normal, VFO controlled of course. :-)

@radionut63 very cool! can you explain how you inserted the VFO box into the transmit section of the radio through the crystal bank?

I always enjoy your vids. The Midland 23 looks exactly like two Radio Shack models that I have. I had a problem with the length. I guess my attention span is not long enough. :) I pulled a copy out of my cache, converted to *.avi, and then used Movie Maker to cut it down to 1/2 original play time.
