example A) Spin's Charles Aaron wrote that by 1985, "They'd shown how far an underground, punk-inspired rock band could go within the industry without whoring out its artistic integrity in any obvious way. They'd figured out how to buy in, not sellout-in other words, they'd achieved the American Bohemian Dream." * so in 1985 they were not sell outs and just underground and how they dissed other bands for selling out*

example b) R.E.M. staked the claim. Musically, the bands did different things, but R.E.M. was first to show us you can be big and still be cool." *now they sell out but yet they claim they are still "down " and "cool" with the scene.*

I believe the end is left to the audience to impress their interpretation of the ending.

As with paintings, so it is with music.

For me, it said that everyone walked away from their pain, ushered by a sense that they were not alone.

this band fucking suck, they criticize mainstream bands for mass media selling techniques then when they finally were able to they did the same thing. then after their "1 hit wonder" on the charts they went back to dissing mainstream again. a bunch of bellyaching faggots
