I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time. We were on our way home when something odd was happening. This group was doing a Flash Mob - like Haka at Sylvia Park.
@Zoomy Mostly in public High School's they train students to do the Haka, most of the schools restrict this to Maori/Pacific students only. Some schools such as all boys only high schools encourage the whole school to perform.
@aoteagirl60 Thanks girl nice to be appreciated :) It was outstanding to be a part of Maui Potiki and for all of us to be part of the opening ceremony as well as performing five flash mob haka, hopefully there's one more flash mob haka left in us yet, in the not too distant future heheh!

@Zoomy Not as part of the curriculum, but many schools have a Kapa Haka/Maori Performing Arts group as an extra curricular activity.
