My Velocette is back and kicking! The output transformer has been replaced with a Mercury Magnetics. Overall the sound has better clarity, headroom, response and just a little less gain. It rocks, I love it!

I'm thinking allot of that owes to the vintage correct alloys in MM transformers. This info is most useful, thanks.

  • @bootlegapples

Yes it did. The amp sounds much mellower now.

  • @littlefury I had one of those amps and liked it BUT it fatigued the ear due to upper mid spikiness/pingy attack.

Can you tell me if the Mercury tamed some of that harshness(common in almost all new amps it seems to me)

  • What song are you playing in the begginning? thanks!

  • @greenfish88

    Hi,

the guitar is a vintage Gibson Melody Maker from the 60s. Thanks for listening!

  • what guitar are you using?
