the funny thing is that they argue what salvia really is and if it has possitive or negative effect on you BUT they never tried salvia themselves. It's jut like you wanted to speak about a painter, but you never saw his paitings....

I think the 2 doctors need to try salvia and experience rather than argue a point they don't fully understand

@philiporl And he is not even right. He should study quantum physics an M-theory and he will suddenly see that he was wrong all his life and the description from the percieved reality in the salvia experience fits better with the scientific reality.

I'm wondering if the altered perception they experienced is a form of the same experience that people have when on other psychedelics. The only caveat being a sense of the same frame of mind every time experienced on these substances. I'm sure the one guy got a sense of non-dualism, but perceived in a more primitive state of mind. As if it suppressed the ability for him to think critically, or form a clear picture of things by interrupting cognition.

oh for God's sake why don't these 'talking heads' just take some Salvia themselves and then sit down and have a relevant discussion! 'Its just a somewhat different way of seeing things' - yeah, try it and see just how different you big bore ;-}

i've smoked salvia and the psychologist seems to have a better grasp on what one can experience on salvia than the pharmacologist. i don't understand why the latter seems so against it; however, arguing over something neither has experienced seems pointless to me. it would be much easier on both sides if they both just smoked the bubbler. it looks like a matter of a more holistic perspective vs. a strictly empirical worldview.
