When I lived in Vegas had to travel 16 hours to see my family in AMS but it was worth the wait for this airport

i hav 5 hr transit tym at schiphol. can i go to amsterdam?? bt i dnt have netherlands visa. bt i really want to go and c amsterdam.

To go with the train to Amsterdam it's take 20 minuts. A retourning ticket is around 6 euro's. Every ten minuts a train depart to Amsterdam.

yeah indeed what everyone else says, you should've gone into Amsterdam instead. I believe it's around 10 minutes to central station by train. I know Schiphol has some sightseeing possibilities as well, such as the aviation museum and such, but I'm not sure you can fill 9,5 hours with that :P

you should have got on the train downstairs and gone into amsterdam itself had a beer and chilled , no need to stay in the airport unless you hate spending money
