Kendrick Lamar "HiiiPower" The Toronto Recap

Kendrick Lamar performs a verse of "HiiiPower" off his upcoming album "Section 80". This was a bit of a last minute shoot for me that I ended up doing because I was gathering more footage for the Rich Kidd EPK that I'm working on. Rich Kidd, Smash Brovaz, Element, Lord Quest and AbSoul opened. I'll get to that later. Let's focus on Kendrick Lamar. I had recently just come across his music and videos online and was mildly impressed if not a little skeptical especially with the massive hype surrounding him. That feeling was completely put to rest a few seconds after he stepped on stage. With such a indescribable energy about him, from his flow to his delivery, he conducted the crowd with such clear cut resolve and confidence. I was blown away to say the very least! This event was topped off with Rich Kidd presenting Kendrick with a cake for his 24th birthday reading "Happy Birthday Kendrick "HiiiPower". I'm excited to see how Kendrick evolves as an artist as his fan base multiplies.
