@snakeeyedsissy These guitars don't have a typical tuning nut where the strings rest on top due to tension. The strings are actually held in place, so they don't go all over the place when you fold it.
-
Because generally they're too big for carry-on and are extra large as checked bags which these days can cost you nearly $200, just to take your guitar with you.
-
i don't really understand how you would go about folding the neck without having the loose strings get bent and come off the tuning pegs. This idea doesn't really seem to be all that practical.
-
That must take so much sustain out of the guitar?
-
Won't you need to tune it every time?
-
untune your guitar to save a miniscule amount of space.. if you go on an airplane, check your baggage with your guitar, who the hell needs to take it on the plane with them..
-
Wont that bend the strings and stuff?
-

it's a well crafted guitar and sounds nice. It is nice if you have limited space at home as well. This really is a traveling guitar as a lot of people travel by themselves to do solo acoustic gigs.
