6 pool rush (5 min Insane Achievement)

start a custom game vs insane AI to get this achievement. DONT use the "vs AI"-Button. It MUST be a custom game.

- send first drone bringing back minerals to enemy base.
- set hatch waypoint to enemy base!
- build pool at 200 minerals.
- build extractor at enemy base. 6 worker will attack it.
cancel it at 10-20 hp and rebuild it. do this the WHOLE time.
- when pool finishs, build 6 zergling.
- keep on building zergling and keep on harrassing with extractor.
- when your first 6 zergling reach enemy base, attack from the left.
- attack the hatch.

1. Attacking from the left helps you in the case, that the drones will attack your zergling. Because the extractor will distract 6 worker, while you can handle the rest of them. in this video it was not that important, because the worker didnt attack, but ran away. But that is not always the case! That is why you should NOT attack from the extractor side.

2. Works very well in coop, too. You can change the build order and build one drone first and do a 7-pool instead of a 6-pool.

Didn't work for me anymore. Extractors don't seem to get attacked by insane-drones anymore, or not in early game. Use Spinecrawlers for the same (but vastly more expensive trick) worked for me.

I tried this with the zerg, the drones did not attack the extractor on insane. i tried as protoss and cannoned, won in 4:55 and no achiev?

They must have changed something since 2010, because on medium difficulty the computer holds out until I've taken out all his drones and until I have his hatchery/command center/nexus down to 10% health. Here he surrenders at the drop of a hat.

Fuck, every time I try the 6-pool I manage to beat the enemy in 5:30, 5:20, 5:13

NEVER under 5 minutes, the computer won't surrender until all his workers are gone, along with his Command Center. It just takes too fucking long.
