  • @0raj0 - You must not have watched the video, because this bike lane is on a one-way street, so it is not going in the opposite direction to the general traffic.

  • Looks like you need a loud horn on your bike in NYC.

  • I think seeing all the pedestrians in the bike lane only demonstrates that pedestrians in NYC need more space than they are given. Are some of the situations you filmed shared space/ pedestrian priority areas? That would explain the 'disappearing' of bike lanes. Perhaps signage would fix some of the confusion about where bike lanes end and begin?

  • It's not a particularly clever idea to make bike lanes on the LEFT side of the road.

    This way the cyclist rides in opposite direction to the general traffic, which can cause various problems on intersections.

    They should be on the right.

  • Kudos to NYC for creating a more pedestrianized area like they did, with cafés and more greenery.

    Of course they failed in some parts with regards to the bike lane going through the cafés and not having better areas for pedestrians to walk, other then on the bike lane.
