Why I Do - Or Don't - Wear The Hijab (Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty)

RFE/RL asked women from seven countries why they do (or don't) wear the hijab, or Muslim head scarf. Their answers were as varied as the countries they represent: Afghanistan, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, and the Russian republic of Tatarstan. I just think it looks so beautiful that I wish I had the courage to wear hijab in Britain as a white christian. I feel sorry for young women who buy clothing from catalogues or stores that put very little material into their items making them short and skimpy. When I was a child women didnt dress like that , it is commerce and profiteering by clothing manufacturers and I like the idea of wearing discreet clothing with more than one sq ft of fabric to them.

@portlandbells99 Bullshit, you wear whatever you want, you do not have to follow the styles. The hijab is not a piece of clothing, it is a personal prision.

@ManthaMoslim I dont really agree with you... I see some sisters wearing hijb and talking bad about other sisters and she wears tight sowing skin BUT her hair is covered yet the other is fully covered in loose clothing but the hair... mmmmm no one knows whos "IMAAN" is stronger only god...

if all these women wer supposed to be muslims then id say that deffinitly some of them had not read the quran or knew anyfin bout the prophet
