Fungi are not plants, animals, nor bacteria. They belong to the domain of Eukaryota, and their own kingdom called fungi. They are decomposers, when organisms such as an animal or plant dies, fungi feeds on them. In return they are food for humans, animals, and provide a symbiosis along with plants. They can help plants obtain water that they need to survive. So we definitely could not survive on this planet without them. So be nice to your fungi.
