Test Run Of the Gleaner F2

We used to split part of our farming and a neighbor split the harvest withy us and would bring his F3 over. Last year he told us he was getting out. So, we decided to do it all ourselves. We picked up this AC Gleaner F2 last winter and have been tinkering around, replacing almost all the electrical, paddles, repainting, rebuilding the AC, and so on. This is the maiden voyage...

...everything seems to work OK.

He kept farming, but cut his load by half.

We just picked up a second one, this one an automatic with more sensors to find stoppages. I'll get a video up and running on that one soon. We'll be using that one as our primary. Its in even better shape and this one (pictured in the video) as a back-up/parts machine.

We also have a more narrow grain head designed to clog less (as a slope on behind the cutter heads as opposed to the older flat style.

Our farm is 300+ acres. We usually have 160 of it in beans and/or corn. The F2 fits the roll of the small farm harvester perfectly. Easy to work on, simple in design.
