Even if #8 of the serie was removed by some 'authority' (probably the lawyer of Hampton The Hamster), I am still going on with this serie, believe it or not!
The first part of the video is devoted to the group Black Ivory: their song 'Mainline' is a powerful disco anthem with many very catchy parts. It was sampled a couple of times. Gene Farris ('Mainline Disco') and Phunky Data ('Hard Night') are on the list.
Next, Dr. Kucho! already sampled a line from the movie "The Frighteners" for his track "Patricia Never Leaves The House". With "Belmondo Rulez 2.0", Ennio Morricone is taken to the dancefloor in a melancholic tribute to French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo. Taken from the movie "Le Professionel", 'Chi Mai' follows Belmondo up to the end of the film, where he is shot tragically.
A little bonus to conclude: Thomas Bangalter sampling Claude François in "Colossus" from his 12" 'Trax On The Rocks'. We're still waiting for a reissue of some sort. It was never released on CD (to my knowledge).
