If you were there and paid attention to the commentry at the time, you would clearly have heard him say it is CAPABLE of 46,000 in 6 secs ! I didn't say it DID that ascent in the clip !
I long for the day that this thing makes an appearance at the Toronto International Airshow (If it does) Phenomenal piece of machinery :)

Well the commentator must've been talking out of his arse then.
46,000 feet is 8.71 miles. So that's 8.71 miles in 6 seconds? That'd be 87.1 miles per minute or 5,226 miles per hour.
The Typhoon's top speed is around 1,550 mph in flat and level flight at altitude so waaaaaay off.
