  • Dave great job! I was a little worried that you would drift a bit on the subject but you kept the live show very focused. It is tough to do it all in one take, cover all your points and have continuity. Well done and keep up the good work.

  • Hey thanks alot Dave! This is just "prototype 1" so Im working hard to make all the next ones better and better as I figure it out. Thanks for all the support!

  • I think you missed the point about flaps.

Whether they are trailing or leading edge, flaps are lift enhancement devices, used for slow speed flying.

The only reason to use flaperons is to retain control at slow speed.

You dont use flaps to get more lift, but retain lift at lower speed.

Its all tied into Reynold's number.

You should get a copy of "model aircraft airodynamics" by Martin Simons.

Its a great book, it will give you a lot of background info.

  • I know... but we were talking about flaps in the context of what we have used and what has worked in our RC planes.

  • Nice video!First,I wondered, why that video has so low quality, but webcameras.:)

  • Hey thanks! We should have better quality next time. We are going to try and do it differently next time!

  • Dave, You do SUCH a good job. You are a great speaker. People love you. But... Get to the point!!! To much chatter! You have too much knowledge and too large an audience to "yuk it up" so much. Not hatin'. Just trying to be constructive.

  • Some of these comments are unfounded.

It was a great live show, cut these some slack. They provide you their info for free..don't be an ingrate.

  • hooked up my edge 540 with flapperons. Thanks for the clarification on what they do!

  • How do set up flaperon on plane like that parkzone P-51D BL BNF. Mainly how to u set them up! Please send me a messeage on my channel!

  • Great video. I never thought about the flaps hinge point in relation to the CG. Spoilerons, are called "lift killers" by a former Navy test pilot on RCG forums, he's basically saying be very careful with them but he's also talking balsa planes, not foamys. So........ Also another forum member added that weight is also a huge factor. Jetset44 did actual design work on the F-22 Raptor, he really knows his stuff so try to get him to elaborate on the spoilerons more.

  • is there BS in this video ??

  • skip over the first minute to skip the BS.

  • HI Dave, im trying to make my own home made airplane ,,but i need a list of material which would fit in the Extra300 ,,please can u make a video showing which material and electronic device are the best ,,

  • Hi there, I have watched several of your videos and I think they are great. I have a Parkzone T28 Trojan and I would like to use Ch.5 to add flaps. I have never done any sort of mods. Can you please put a video together that shows how this can be done? Thank you in advance.

  • How come the video and sound is so bad this time?

  • correction WING DRAGON SPORTSTER

  • would you recommend the fire bird sportster for a good plane for my experience. i have had 3 rc airplanes
