Twenny bucks sez your S35 blade was left over from the JD Forum knife run....the grinds, stonewash, etc. are identical. And to address that "barely locked up" situation, just sit there with the blade open, and manually work the lockbar back & forth a few dozen times....it makes a huge difference.

Huh, I've never seen a protech that wasn't in 154cm. Maybe they're switching

Protech did a forum knife for JerzeeDevil with the TR-3 in s35vn. So possibly they just decided to switch the steels permanently after that. Its definitely a nice upgrade for the same cost.
