Dude...I equipped my truck with a old air intake, gibson exhaust and i didnt feel anydifference in power....I wanted to do some research and i saw some posts on slack in the throttle cable....saw your video, did it, and my truck hasnt felt better, huge power increase, throttle response, and it actually opened the secondaries probably the first time in years...cleaned it out, stopped slight knocking, and running better than ever...thanks

same here no spring,but i do have rubber grommet,and some slack,took it out,now my ranger revs to about 5100rpms and i'm doin 90 in fourth when it shifts to 5th.thanks for the tip FNC!!

@huffa12 doesn't have*

all ranger 93+ should have springs! if not then either it was removed due to sticking of throttle orrrr someone jammed the gas too hard and broke the spring and it fell off

@FordNissanChevy i put the zip ties on myself about 3 weeks ago and there was no spring. i have a 96 ranger though so that might be why
my truck don't have that spring so i had about 2 inches i had to put zip ties on

@huffa12 if you have a ranger, then it should have a spring there, if not you should check to make sure. Its sounds like it supposed to have a spring or something

and have you had any problems with it since youve done it? or has it all been running perfect? because i think that my throttle cable might be stretched out as well, and i dont have the cash to buy a new one, but i do have ties.
