Due to a majority vote, I have decided to complete Assignment Ada and Separate Ways before I move on to a different game.

@KakashiOfSharingan1 that means its not in the actual resident evil storyline. AA is a side story that never actually happened.

well, that would make sense, cause in assignment ada, you start off at the begining of the Island level. and in a few video's ive seen, it starts off at the begining of the game, like it starts out as Leon

*facepalm* They're two completely different minigames. SW takes place alongside the main game, AA is non-canon.

@KakashiOfSharingan1 *facepalm* Separate Ways is Ada's side of the RE4 story. As the videos show. Assignment Ada is just a bonus game you get to play to unlock more stuff. It has nothing to do with the main story whatsoever.
