  • You are correct he did say 50 to 100ft. However, 100ft is double the Altitude of ground effect thus positive rate of climb has been established. At 50ft AGL engine out, you will not be able to land on the same runway and stop safely with 5000 ft remaining. So you have no useable runway after rotation period. Below blueline gear should be your priority to be changed aerodynamically you are a sitting duck. Always check accelerate stop and accelerate go distance available according to MTOW and ISA.

  • When to put the landing gear up and he said 50 to 100 ft up??? What happened to positive rate of climb and no remaining runway available?
