Hoagland re-scanned 30 year old 8 x 10 photo glossies on his consumer-grade office scanner that was none too clean. Then he boosted the brightness of the digital image. To nobody's surprise, crud on the scanner then showed up in the black lunar sky -- including one of his beard hairs, in one classic case. Then he says "Look, glass towers!"

It's really, really pathetic.
