that is amazing! how did learn the edditing process for creating gashes with the after- effects lightsaber?

The gashes on the door and the floor were added with an After Effects add-in filter (I can't remember the name of it at the moment, sorry) -- they are both just an extremely slow-moving smoke effect. Then I applied a bevel filter over top of it to give it some depth. The fire while I'm cutting the floor was added with Particle Illusion 3.
