VisualStudio is a developing environment and having that in mind may be you need something more powerful than a netbook. Anyway if size is an issue try to find a netbook with a powerful CPU. There is in the horizon a new generation of netbooks using the new concept of low-cost and low-power CPUs from Intel. When? Don't know...

WinXP is running on a P2-450Mhz very well - at the begining.
Every Windows is getting slower with time.
Install Programs, Games, Tools, Office... work and use it for a while, lets say a month - and then make another video. #k.

I don't fullly understand the subject in your note. Running W7 in a Intel A100 when Microsoft recomends an 1 GHz CPU was a proof of concept... nothing else. Off course since is working I will install software on it and if you like it I will make a new video, but... remember... Microsoft said 1 Ghz so is 400 Mhz less.
