He is a Very Rare Video I have of Steve working with the Golf Machine Master Ben Doyle, Here Steve is using all 3 hinge actions. Hope you all like this one.
@sandwah9 Brian Gay is maybe an exception. Take your point though. I just take bits and pieces from it. Seems a bit like golf OCD to me, people who get too into it!
@idatomhue Its a method of teachning, analysing and studying the swing. A taxonomy of the golf swing if you like. It gives essential components of all successfull swings. Im just about to read it (or try) purely for interest, not sure how much it can really help a golfer-sandwah9s comments does make fair points. Is all this information really helpful? Is it transferable to the course?Isnt it pointless obsession!?
@sandwah9 I think you have a good point. I find it hugely interesting-but is all this 'stuff' transferable to the golf course? Solid fundamentals and essentially 'feeling' your way to whats right is going to work better for almost everyone. It seems to border on Golf OCD this way of teaching-TGM. I suppose Brian Gay play good golf at the moment-not super long off the tee though so never going to be a top tenner, but super straight. But you're right, most movement is instinctive
I love the hacker morons who pontificate about golf swings and instruction methods. Shit, Sarah Palin makes more sense than they do! I'm not a Ben Doyle devotee, but his techniques are solid and, most important, teachable. My instructor wants me to use Elk's classic swing as a model--God I wish! BTW, for the numbnuts out there, Heath Slocum has done pretty well with these methods.
of course it's a method, called TGM and it has killed more good golfers than any other method extant. he's made one cut in last 16 majors since switching to TGM. TGM is just a career killer - like knowing what every body part is doing during your swing will make you better. HARRRRRRR

@sandwah9 Since "switching" to TGM? He's been with TGM types off and on his entire career.

@cockywatchman1976 Obviously it will not work for you as you are a head case and all you do is post on youtube negative comments.
