I am a Muslim myself but instead of building a wall around me, I open up my mind myself and understand what is going on. Most Muslims tend to be stuck ups and try to prove others wrong, which I find to be ignorant. Muslims need to understand what they are opposing against, see the true meaning behind it and it starts by understanding themselves.

Most Muslims are followers, and take every word from the Koran and leaders with a grain of salt and need to find meaning behind it.

@loly1969 Absolutely. I am a Muslim and I love my faith but I FIRMLY believe that religion has no place in the affairs of mankind. Government should be secular. Politics should be secular. Religion in the public square serves to divide. Religion is PERSONAL, between a person & God. It is about dealing with our mortality not telling each other what to do.

@SilverlonewolfX You have the most civilized view I've heard. Understanding is certainly the way. As a Christian, I am reading as much as I can about Islam, as well as the Qur'an, and trying to see exactly what is there that people believe in. I believe God gives all of us the choice and, having given us minds, will not penalize us for using them to understand Him and ourselves better.

when it comes down to it, any relationship one has with god is a personal one. those who cannot think (or are too lazy to think) for themselves pick up on a "canned" religion, and attempt to use it to answer their questions about life. but eventually they become programmed by that religion, since all "canned" religions are about the "control" of the masses by the authorities.

@SilverlonewolfX, Yes, I agree with you. My arguments is when peoples see something bad in Muslim countries start to think Islam is the reason behind it. I always say this, we have speed limit law, do we all abide by the laws always? No we do not. That does not mean problem with the laws, It is the people that r not following r problem. Islam is the best for the humanity as a whole. And about good and bad? It is personal perspective? Something good values to u may not be good to other. peace!

@knowjesus2011 Did I say we should add bad things? No. What I was saying is understand the world's good values more. Many countries under tyranny don't accept the west's ways living in a third world state. No justice nothing, as soon as they suspect someone of a crime, even innocent is proven! The person is beaten, shot dead or tortured. That is not Islam, and that is what I was pointing to. So don;t be adding things I haven't said like the other morons have, it'll only make you look stupid.
