VIDA is a life changing opportunity to work with doctors in Central America, climb volcanos, white water raft, and do humanitarian work.
In 2010, and 2011, 46 UofToronto student Volunteers journeyed to Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica in an Intercultural and Definitive Adventure. They set up mobile clinics, and provided medical and dental care to one thousand patients over two years. Other life changing activities also defined their experiences, such as performing magic to orphans, showing them that anything is possible, and to never give up hope. Volunteers ziplined down the lush forests of the Miravelle Canopy, lived with local families, and hiked the great Arenal Volcano. This is their story.
