@Embassadorkingofpeac shut the fuck up

Brilliant take on religion. I was raised southern baptist. I believed it to be true. Then I grew up and became educated.

Yahweh and Hitler are pretty much the same: Accept me as the one true Savior or you'll suffer great torment.
The only difference...Let me get back to you on that...

wait... there are corrupt police and politicians in every country. that means government is bad . government is also an evil cause of war. police have beaten up people with no reason. politicians have accepted bribes and gifts. and the government covers it up.

@OnkelStein I think he was more against organized religion, but he viewed atheism as an integral part of bolshevism, and as such, he was out to destroy it. But it is true, that Hitler's religious views aren't clear.
-
@c0p13dn4m3 He believed himself to be almost godlike it seems, but that is more of a narcissistic trait than anything else. But if you look at the nazi rallies they really were spiritual propagandafests in their own right
-
@OnkelStein I'm not saying he was Christian, I'm saying he was religious.
-
@c0p13dn4m3 No, he just used it to manipulate the masses. Anyone can see that in a Christian nation like Germany, it was important for Hitler to get them all on his side. Although he had a catholic upbringing, he said several things in his later life that would surely put him at least in the agnostic section.
-
@OnkelStein Yes, he was.
I like all the people in line who look to be more interested in listening to him than going in the house.

Probably Maher's most concise statement. I wonder why it was in the "extras" rather than the main movie.
