One of the great innovative (often uncredited) guitarist in rock and roll. New bands like exit calm and glasvegas owe a great deal to this man. Many other bands that credit new ideas often copy dave's style. High five for a great artist.

Search for Is There A Mother In Law In The House by the Reegs. Dave told me he just found the banjo in the studio and came up with it more or less on the spot. Never had a lesson on the guitar in his life! It's a fantastic tune too.

Dave Fielding, Robin Guthrie and Julian Swales have been big influences on me as a guitarist over the years, but it was listening to Dave in The Chameleons that made me want to play guitar in the first place. Dave Fielding is a remarkable guitar genius.

Best space/dream sound ever. Dave creates sonic textures that are edgy, exhilarating, relaxing at the same time. Echoes of Steve Kimock, Adrian Belew, and Robert Fripp, but richer and more listenable than all of them. We need an album, or at minimum, more of this stuff posted...
