I just can't understand why the nurses and the post op people always look at me like I'm nuts, as my kids screaming, and I'm asking for pain med for her. Obviously, when they push the distal tubing under her skin, all the way down her neck, through her abdominal muscle..not to mention the double bubble behind her ear, and the irritation to the dura causing nausea, etc...after checking for LOC, ...give the meds already!

To watch this and see my little girl makes me know and feel how wonderful God is and how strong my little girl is and that i should not take advantage of our lives. She to me is a miracle. I was told she wouldn't live past birth, then 1 day. then a year and she lives today. I was told she may not be able to walk or talk or hear or see and she is doing all of those things. My daughter is who inspires me.

It ended up that she did not have cysto-meningocele , the pressure of the water in her brain caused her skin to pert rude out causing a massive bubble in the back of her neck. The doctors were unsure of whether there might be some membrane in the bubble before birth. So a C-section was performed. They placed vp shunt and with 3 weeks of life she had 3 shunt surgeries and 1 a few months after that around 8 months of life.

My baby girl is now 2 years old when she was born ,she was diagnosed with congenital hydrocephalus which also caused cysto-meningocele. They said she wouldn't even make i through birth. It was odd to the doctors that she had cysto-meningocele because it was on the back of her neck. After three days of birth she had surgery to place a vp shunt and the meningocele, It ended up that she did not have cysto-meningocele.

@hithere00000 I also had vp shunt on my right coz i have a tumor in my brain which was known as ''Meningiomas '' & coz of that there was an extra water pressure in my brain which was causing black outs in my both eyes anyways doctors put vp shunt in my right and next day the treat my tumor by Gama knife surgery ,,, Thats all happened 20-days back ,,,Anyways after vp shunt my black out vesion problem solved now i can see every thing clear but that shunt seems bit strange
