@arav00 Your Ydna test doesnt tell you what nationality you are however tells you where abouts your ancestors migrated to and from, so i doubt your results said "Assyrian", but the majority of Iraqi arabs were the ones who were forcibly converted to islam by the invading arabs, thats why some of them have assyrian roots, but now days are fully arabized people

im an Iraqi Arab and i did this test and surprisingly my result came out as ASSYRIAN and not an Arab :@ which was abit of a shock to me at the start!!!!

btw her result is only from her mothers side since its mitochondrial DNA and has nothing to do with her dads ancestry. this mtDNA gets passed from your great great grandma to your grandmother to your mum then to you and only females pass it down to their kids. Im more interested in the YDNA result which gets passed from males to their males offsprings. her mtDNA haplogorup is J1 from what i see.
