  • @opensecret51 I'm not sure why he decided to burn those pictures, I've always wondered about it, and if anybody has information about this please post.. Thanks for your wonderful insight and information.

For me entering the world of Georges Rouault with his depth of colors and depth of figures , together with the powerful emotional expressiveness of Albert Roussel music was entering some deep layers wihin.. evoking a feeling of deep reflaction ... ....I was so sorry and sad to read that at the end of his life he burned some 300 of his pictures.........
