  • @2006soccerguy Yes. The hot water in the pipes is probably at least 120 degrees and your home is probably 70 degrees or so. That means there's still a pretty good temperature difference and possibility of heat loss.

  • if the water heater tank is inside (indoors), do I need to insulate pipes?
