DORANTES con GALVAN Y GRILO, tema 1

Y la noche culminó en todo lo alto con un Dorantes soberbio, es decir, como siempre. El piano es una prolongación de su ser y en su pensamiento hay mucha fantesía. Está claro que la música es su principal idioma y en él se siente libre. No es fácil aburrirse de Dorantes. Recientemente le vimos en el Auditorio Nacional (Madrid) y es como si a uno le quedaran ganas de repetir cuanto antes. Siempre hay algo nuevo y sorprendente en su música. Pasa del flamenco al jazz con una facilidad pasmosa y sus variaciones son tremendas. Y ayer vino además con dos invitados de excepción: Pastora Galván y Joaquín Grilo. La primera estuvo tremenda en sus dos interpretaciones. Su técnica es impecable y su expresión cautivadora e intensa. Además es artista que busca y propone. Una gozada vela bailar. Y por su parte, Grilo es un fenómeno, todos lo sabemos y anoche tuvo pasajes memorables. Los jerezanos son maestros en bailar al cante, y Grilo entiende bien esos lances. And from the classical to the open. Thats the base of the show by Dorantes, who fosters a space from his piano where musicians and bailaores can dialogue, express... thrill. Those three actions came together during a recital reigned above all else by the personality of Dorantes sound, which goes beyond flamenco and the Andalusian, to become something like Atlantic. The instrumental pieces were captivating per se, but the collaborations by the bailaores sublimed the crowd. First came the solo by Pastora Galván, materializing the bewitchment of La danza de las sombras. Accompanied by metal castanets, dressed in black and strass, mighty in footwork and in body. Her stuff wasnt adorning the piece, but dancing it. Without a breather, Joaquín Grilo came out on stage to immediately join the group as another musician, contributing his overwhelming way of understanding flamenco rhythmics. And then, his baile started to become intoxicated, to decompose, to parody itself and his movement nearly eclipsed the scene. Sparks flew from the gathering between the Sevillian bailaora and the Jerez-born bailaor. And the two of them, the piano and the entire band made the sounds from Sur a high-voltage discharge, which electrified the end of an evening which was a ceremony of the encounter between whats from here, whats from there and what we are together

Fantastico, maravilloso, olé, bravo, todos los aplausos y jaleos se me quedan pequeños para corresponder a tanto arte como hay en este video.

Magnifico Dorantes, y ese don suyo para hacer hablar al piano. Intratable Joaquin Grilo y su genio y finura, y su duende en los pies.

Y grande Pastora, como seduce y se funde en la danza con Grilo hasta llegar a ser un solo...
