Angular momentum is generated by two body points. The first is torso by weight shifting. The second is upper body by pushing down from your shoulders fairly equally and out through the turn, almost like you're using a shovel to move snow or dirt. Most of the momentum generated is via the upper body, but the mid body or torso is still required but less.
