Oliver Kite Master Fly Fisherman Pt.1 of 8. Extremely rare footage taken from the long deleted video of Ollie's only existing TV shows at Southern Television in the 1960's. Completely captivating and charming short films of a master countryman, broadcaster, naturalist, writer and fisherman - a great influence on those fortunate to have met and worked with him. He (along with producer Ted Channell) were among the pioneers of today's popular nature TV programmes.
When I fish the Avon and Itchen, I always think of
this man. I have never had his success however!!

Oliver Kite, great! he really captures what fly fishing is all about. Contemplation & tuning in to the theatre of nature unfolding around you. Interesting to hear his voice; I'd always thought he was a real toff 'cos he served in India & fished on the chalkstreams, but he doesn't sound it at all.
