"The UV 2 really lets you explore Big Data at the speed of Big Data."- Kalev H. Leetaru, from the University of Illinois

Leetaru shares how his father's work with one of Silicon Graphics' most powerful graphics machines at the Illinois State Geological Survey fostered his early interest in them.

What happened when he worked with SGI and used its UV 2000, the world's largest memory data mining system, to map out the most common errors on Wikipedia's English pages? Well, for starters, it didn't take him long.

Actually, less than a day to complete the first-ever historical mapping and exploration of Wikipedia's full-texts, in time and space, with visualization of modern history captured in its four million pages.
