SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR MOTORCYCLES
Can be used on Cars, Boats, Campers, Golf Carts...
Here's a hidden internal antenna that really works! It simply mounts to the inside of any fiberglass or plastic fairing and plugs into any standard AM/FM antenna jack. Requires a switched 12-volt power source.
This amplified antenna works well for radio installations where a conventional antenna is a challenge to mount or you don't want to drill a hole. Great for hidden stereo installs and clean antenna-less fenders.Used on: Hot Rods, Customs, Motorcycles, double duty race cars, Boats, etc. Can also be used for replacing a damaged factory windshield antenna.
First, pick the spot where you want to install the hidden antenna. The best place is along the top of the windshield or behind the rear view mirror. It does not matter if the antenna is horizontal or vertical. The antenna includes Velcro for mounting, so if you decide to change the location of the antenna you can do so easily. Exclusive feature! Do not place the antenna where it will affect your forward visibility. Metal will not allow reception, avoid surrounding the antenna with metal and keep the antenna at the highest point possible. Glass, plastic and fiberglass do not affect reception.
Before sticking the antenna to the glass, make sure you have figured out how you are going to run the cable and power back to the radio. You should not pinch the wires in any way. Clean the surface where you are planning on attaching the antenna with an alcohol prep pad or else the antenna will not stick.
The Motorola plug will fit most radios. It simply plugs into the back of the radio. Some cars/bikes may require an adaptor which is available at most electronic stores. The smaller diameter wire needs to be connected to 12 volts. This can be found in the wiring coming out of the back of the stereo. A switched ignition source is preferred. Make sure the wire is protected by a fuse.
